Another .223 Handi-Rifle

Just picked up a .223 Handi-rifle due to all the good things I have heard about them on this forum. Check it out in the Pics section.  
I did find a few things to pass along. Be sure to check for metal shavings.
I found some in the scoperail mounting holes and in the barrel. That being said, I got a chance to do some paper punching today. I thought it shot pretty well, even for me. It got a 1" 3 shot group @100 yds. and a 1 3/4" 3 shot group @200 yds., with the walmart whitebox ammo. I shaved it down to 1 1/2" using some 50 gn. v-max ammo I got an a local gunshow.

They are great aren't they I love the 2 I have a 223 bull barrel Handi  and a 26-06 ultra rifle. Instead of me writing it all again I'm sure I read posts as to how to get one what I call shot in. The accuracy in mine just got better after shooting some rounds threw it. You may allready know what I mean but just in case . I know before I shot mine I cleaned it and cleaned it some more then there was a short period of less than outstanding groups until the barrel got slightly fouled then it was great. All rifles are different but these were my results.  Mine shoots the white box great and 50grain V-max just as good maybe a little better.

Looks like NEF is going to be working overtime just to fill the 223 orders in their inventory.  These rifles are really becoming addicting by reading the posts of so many new members,,,,,and members buying new guns.
I got mine in early febuary and the weather here is so crappy that I've only put 10 shots through it so far just off shooting sticks and it grouped at 2 inches. Can't wait to get on a bench.
I got 200 rounds of the whitebox 45gr hp and from the 10 that I shot it looks like I'll stick with that load. (for a while anyway)
I got the stainless model and now when I open the gunsafe it sorta just says "take me,take me" .I really need a break in this weather!!!

The use limited I bought looks like its gonna be a shooter, but I'm putting in a new house and range time has been minumized. :cry:

I know I sure love mine, I can clover leaf at 100 yards, at 200 yards it opens up a bit but I feel if I can put all my shots in a 3 inch circle at 200 yards it will do what I need it to and thats them Coyotes. :-D   Jimmy

I have never (yet) shot a coyote at over 100 yards. My NEF .223 drops them like a wet rag....I really love my NEF. A real bargin.....A great gun.
