Tom.   45 degrees today and seen five geese.  Wont be long now and the beaver will be swimming.  Gonna try and spend 12 to 15 more days on the lake chasing walleyes.  Then the work begins.

Rdfx, same weather forcast here.  Cooler temps for the five day forcast.
Normal year we are hitting the cricks and rivers here around the first of april give or take a few days.  Myself, I dont like to see it come too early.  Like to fish hard the month of March.  Most years we are able to fish until the end of season(April 14).  One year I had to work until the 27th of February and if got real warm.  Was only able to fish until the middle of March.  Seen one year it was stilll froze over on opening day, usually Mothers Day.  What a sight it was.  Talked to two guys at a resort that come up from down south.  Talk about sad heads, looking across the lake, froze solid.

The walley bite has been good all winter.  Lake of the Woods is full of em.  Not real big for the most part, most in the 14-15 inch range.  Good eaters.

Tom, about the same here on the lakes.  Start to open around April 10, usually beat you by a week.
