local castor vs non-local castor

I was wondering if there are any advantages from using castor in the same area that you caught the beaver?

What I mean is we ground up the castors from our beaver last spring and we are using on the river this year.......do you find that you are better off with a more non-familiar castor?

I dont want to use castors from the same water shed.If I had my choice I would use castors from an entirely differant area. But those are just my thoughts--that and 2 cents, wont even by a bubble gum anymore.

I agree with Bogmaster, always use castor from a different locality for best results.  Ace
