Alaska vehichle licensing
« on: March 06, 2005, 08:00:39 PM »
Hello!
My father and I want to relocate to the Kenai Penninsula area and were wondering how the vehichle licensing works in Alaska, and are they expensive or not to bad?  Thanks for any help you can provide.

It costs me $102 registration plus an $80 emissions inspection/certificate for my 2001 Ford (F250)pickup.  That's for 2 years.  I'm not sure if the Kenai has emissions so that may not be a cost if you're moving there.

No emission testing over here either.  Actually no vehicle inspections at all.  If it runs down the road......

If either of you are a disabled vet, or are disabled get back with me I can give you more info.
Where is old Joe when we really need him?  Alaska Independence    Calling Illegal Immigrants "Undocumented Aliens" is like calling Drug Dealers "Unlicensed Pharmacists"
What Is A Veteran?
A 'Veteran' -- whether active duty, discharged, retired, or reserve -- is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to 'The United States of America,' for an amount of 'up to, and including his life.' That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country today who no longer understand that fact.
