Was looking at Bushnell binoculars and they have rain guard that reviews seem to confirm works. What about other brands like Nikon Monarchs or Zeiss? Those two are normally priced at 300 at the store I go to and they them for 20% off.

Now I always get the lenses wet and if these two don't cut it for that then forget the good price. Any advice? If not I will just save up my pennies and get the bushnell's.

Seems as though if the rest of the competition were to offer a form of rainguard they would say so.........so go out and get that Bushnell and you won't be sorry.

p.s. If you care to try it, there's a product on the market called "RainX" that works well on windshields and such. However, I don't know if it would be safe on scopelenses with anti-reflective coatings......Your choice! I know the product contains alcohol.

Some Leupold binos have something like rain guard.

RAINGUARD will probably work on the OUTSIDE of the lenses, but the main problem is the INSIDE of the lenses. For glasses to work in cold and rain they must first be Waterproof. You can't just treat the outside of cheap glasses and expect them to work.

I can't speak to the binos., but I do have 3 Bushnell Elite 3200 scopes with the Rainguard. In a word - AWESOME!

I've put the one on my ML through some incredibly foul weather here in Northern MI. It continues to impress.
