I'm facing the same problem.  Have registered twice, but haven't gotten an e-mail response from them saying that my registration was accepted.

Same problem here, registered, can't log in, can't re-register cause of the same email address, finally found an email addy for Larry, and my emails get returned. Never saw a forum without a working contact address that you needed to login first. Very strange.

So, at least I can get in and post.   I sent a PM to Annabelle and she has responded to acknowledge that the matter now has her attention.  We'll see how things progress from here.  She was pleasant in her PM and since she was the only moderator I could find, I suspect it may be a one horse show over there.  Lets all be thankful the site is there at all and help her get through this for all our benefit.

I PM'ed Larry and Annabelle about your situation.  Annabelle acknowledged.  Larry's the guy over there. We'll see when he gets to it.

Folks,

Larry's sister Gwen was involved in a tragic car accident a few weeks back.  She is recovering nicely now and Larry is back and trying to catch up on the backlog of folks wanting help.  Some may wish to go to the link Larry has posted and sign the guestbook for Gwen.

Have most of you been able to log back on MarlinOwners?  I haven't been able to get on in over a month now.  Sure miss it.  I can get any portion of the site except the forums.  I can get the forums main page, but when I try to click on "Big Bore" or any other forum, all I get is a gray blank page with the five buttons to other links and the title MarlinOwners.com.  Anyone else with the same problem?

1895GG:

I have the same problem you do!  Once you get the gray screen, click on the Gallery box and look at several of the photos, then click back and the forum page should be there.  It's a pain, but it works for me, no idea why!!

Take care,
REDDR

Thanks for the suggestion REDDR, but it does not work for me.  Sometimes when I switch back from Gallery to Forums, I get the first page of Forums with the links to Admin Announcements, Marlinowners Wishes, 336, Big Bore Rifles, etc. but when I try to go to one of the forums from there, I still get the gray page and sometimes I don't even get the Forums main page--just a gray page there too.  Oh well, maybe Larry or someone will figure it out someday.  I'll keep checking there (and here for other suggestions).

I don't understand it? I'm on there nearly every day(same as here), and I've not had the first problem at all.

Have you tried deleting the Marlin Talk cookies off your computer, then visiting it again? Sometimes that'll help on some sites.

Thanks Jerry, that is the first thing I tried.  ("Marlin Talk"?  Man, we go way back!)  It is obvious a lot of people are not having problems, but I am one that is.  I had the email address of one other forum member and emailed him asking him to p.m. Larry since I cannot.  Larry is working on it, but hasn't found the problem yet.  I have been on the internet for several years, but am still a novice, so anyone with a suggestion let me know.  I like Graybeard, but really miss MarlinOwners.

FWIW,
I had exactly the same thing happen to me a while back with this forum.  I could visit everything on the GBO site except the forums.  It lasted about a month and then one morning all was well.

Go figure

Hi everyone, I don't post to much here but I like to come and read.  My brother Larry runs the Marlinowners board.  I know most of you don't know me, but I'm going to ask you a favor.  It would be very nice if you could go to this link and sign the guest book for my sister Gwen.  She has regained her ability to read and it would really make her day if you all signed it with a small comment.  We would gladly accept any prayers for her full recovery also.  Thank you,  Gurnie

kind of in bad taste to advertise a different forum to go to on here. You should think about doing it by email.

I dont see that being the point. He was asked by a site admin to do what the site owner most likly has him do when people advertis on this forum.

http://marlinowners.com/links.html

Is this what Marlinowners.com advertises? I hardly call that the same thing and that is on a links page, not the forum itself.

IMHO keeping track/control over 12,678 users on this forum is probably a full time job in itself. So, even though some rules might sound a little funny to some people. With out them this place would probably be a zoo.

Any-how
