Range report on 223

I went to the range this morning. Zeroed at 25 yds. That part was easy. I then put target out to 100 yds. Started shooting and slowly but surely started getting things together. The sun started coming up and getting into my eyes. Used my cap to cover. That must have changed my POA some because I was shooting high and all. And for some reason I couldn't get still (shaking a little) I changed my form alittle too. Anyway, the reason it's not shooting like I want it is because of me, not the gun. When I was in the Army, I taught BRM FOR OVER 7 YRS. I went to get some more ammo afterwards and going to start this stuff over again Sunday or monday. It was me, not working right. It really makes me mad that I just couldn't shoot today. I know this gun will drive tacks, just the operator needs to get it together :x

Hang in there, we all have good and bad days, for me it seems more of em are closer to the bad side as I get older, but it sure beats the alternative!! :roll: One of my neighbors gives me inspiration, he's 75 and still shootin. Ol' Marv here is 74, still shootin, too, although haven't seen a post by him for a bit, hope he's ok!!

From your  reading your ealier post...getting started that early requires you to have a good breakfast ...this always will help settle your nerves down...at least it does for me...lots of caffine on an empty stomach...makes for jettery hands...also...being fully rested helps a great deal too...so don't feel too bad...we all have good days and bad...

I'm sure it must have been from being up before the sun came up!  :lol:  I'm still trying to find a time of the day that I don't wobble so bad.
