Any problems with this? I have some surplus USGI 5.56 ammo.

I wouldn't recommend it, for a couple of reasons. First the surplus almost always sticks in the breech, second, NATO round pressures varries all over the place and can be to high for a handi rifle. (This came with my .223 on a sheet in big red letters.) I've nevere heard of any problems other than sticking cases but I don't think its worth the chance. 8)

I have several boxes of Winchester 5.56 made by Olin Industries (1000 rounds).

It is a shame that it probably can not be used.

There a pain in the ass. The pressures are to high and the empty cases will not eject . I tried several and only found one brand  that was made in Korea that would function properly. Try the winchester 40 round varmint pack there around  $12-13 dollars and you may not find a more accurate  bullet, i believe they are 45 grain hp at around 3600 fps, there great! You can get them at Wal-mart

Yep.  Learned the hard way about Win. Olin .5.56 ammo.  Bought my .223 then went down to Bass Pro and bought 15 boxes of the stuff hit was in sale for 1.99, or some ridiculously low price.  Shot four rounds, had to "pop" them out of the chamber with a cleaned rod, traded the rest.
