Looks like Matt scared everyone away with his ghost stories.

In early June me and Dennis are gonna stop back by Bullet Maker's place on our way back from a prairie dog hunt in the OK panhandle. Maybe we'll have some bigfoot stories when we return from that one. Me and Matt are hoping to get out his way some time this year for a full moon bigfoot hunt with Bullet Maker but finding a date that works for all three of us has been the proglem.

Now BM and his bigfoot hunting buddies do have a story or two they could tell iffen they really wanted to. I've heard some good ones in my phone conversations with him so I know he has them being held in reserve.

Hi gang :D

Well, this just happened yesterday, (03/12/05). I sale spring turkey leases on my place which begins here in Okla, 04/06/05 and runs for 30 days, or until 05/06/05. Well anyhow a couple of new guys, that ain`t never been here before, came up last week to buy some turkey leases. I explained what the condition`s were, and what me as a land owner expects from them, and then showed them around the property. I told them that if they would like, that they can come out before turkey season and do me a favor by shooting some coyotes for me, as they (the coyotes) can do alot of damage to turkeys, if they catch them. They jumped at the chance, cause that give them an excuse to do some early scouting, and do some shooting as well.
Well they agreeded to show up Sat morning (which was yesterday, 03/12th) at 05:30, to get in the woods, and get set up for some coyote calling, using there wounded rabbit mouth call.--- Before it got light enough to start calling, they heard someone walking through the woods, and suspected it might be a tresspasser. Funny thing was however, that the footsteps, that they was a hearing, had no light to guide himself by. (remember, its still dark). They found this to be alittle unerving, since its totally dark and the foot steps are getting closer, and closer.
Now picture in your mind, your in deep--deep--woods. Its so dark, you can`t see your hand, in front of your face, and something or someone, is walking in your direction with no form of light to see to walk by  . There is no wind, no moonlight, just the stillness of the night, and the crunching of the dried leaves, as what ever, is heading in your direction. ---Crunch---crunch----crunch, its getting closer. Well they couldn`t stand it anymore, and they turned on the spotlight, in its, direction, and thats when they saw it. Two hugh green eyeballs, that was about 6ft off the ground. Instandly, the thing took off and they never got to see the whole form of whatever it was. They said all they saw, was two hugh green eyeballs, and a form of something that they couldn`t make out.

Well needless to say, they was scared pretty bad, but they did stay there and tried to call a few coyotes, when it just started to get  daylight. They saw no coyotes, or anything else, except they did get to hear the turkeys, when they came down off the roost.
They came back to the house after the hunt and relayed the story to me. They wanted to know what in the world that could be. I told them that it probably was there imagination, (cause I dont think they would believe me), and it was probably a racoon in a tree.  :-D  :-D . The way they gave me that look after I said that statement was   . Oh I`ll tell them the truth after they get to know me better, but right now, it might have them to think that I`m a nut case :-D  :-D .

Since the weather is warming up around here I know that I for one will be spending more time outside in the woods surrounding my house. Only this year I will turn my attention to BigFoot and anything else strange I see or hear.

Didn't you know? If you live in Southern Missouri you get used to ticks, they don't care for me and my sour blood. Listening for a BigFoot Howl is a great thing to do while fishing.

Kind of like killing two birds with one stone!

Your a braver man than me RedRyder21. I spray down with them tick repplents, but it still scares me when I get one of them little beasts on me. I`d rather put up with a old rattlesnake, at least they warn you. :-D  :-D

good luck fishing and bigfoot hunting.

Dezertyote;  It been a while I thought you forgot about us?

Guys I'm not sure if i told this story to just bulletmaker or not but i'll tell it again. I was posting on a local state forum about coyotes and mountainlions and how its getting really bad with them here in Ct.  we have packs of coyotes running very close to the cities here and its just a matter of time till we have an attack.  It takes just one to deny we have a problem then many guys chimed in with their stories about seeing them.  One story I read sounded like one of bulletmakers its very similair.  Two guys were out hunting coyotes and calling them in an large area that is quite wild yet.  This area looks like i'm in Vermont its all woods and no houses yet around heck there's no place to get something to eat or gas too.  The woods goes on for miles.  While they were calling coyotes they heard a ruckus from the other side of the hill they were on.  When they went over there they seen a coyote torn to shreads and blood all over the place in the snow.  The head and what was left of the body was up in a tree with its eyes bugging out.  I'm guessing it was hit with so much force its eyes popped out.  These guys think it was a mountainlion that did it and i left it at that.  But it sure sounds like you know who BF?  The only thing i can add is we must becareful when using calls too you just may have a big visitor run in.  I just put in for a deer permit for this area too so i hope to check it out if i get it or i just may have to go coyote hunting up there too.   Its funny they didn't say anything about seeing tracks in the snow?  I think most guys are afraid to talk and admit they made contact with a bigfoot.                                                       BigBill

sure sounds like a strange kill to me BigBill  . I dont think it would have been a mountain lion, cause they kill by biteing the neck, It could have been a bigfoot, cause I was told by some bigfoot hunters, that they had witnessed a bigfoot howling like a coyote, and when one came near, the one doing the calling, jumped and grabbed the unlucky dog, and beat it to death with a tree limb. Beat it and then grabed it by the tail , and started slamming it to the ground. So the way you described that one killed, it could have been.
Interesting report.

Garlic will work for sure!!!!!  A while back I was fishing near the car and i had the hatch open with my tacklebox in the back of the car and i use scents and by accident I shot in the car with a garlic scented spray as i shot my lure and even after wiping it out the car smelled like an italian salad for quite a longtime. I'm sure no bugs were following me.  I'm growing garlic this year and its been in the ground since October and it should be comming up thru the snow.  Of course it will take a few years of recycling it to get it adapted to my area.  There's nothing like fresh garlic you could wear some around your neck too as it will give off the scent also.                                                                  BigBill
