called the local gun shop today looking for a zeiss

some gentleman answered the phone and i asked if they had any zeiss
conquest 3.5x10.44s in stock and the guy asked me
 
     IS THIS A GUN OR AMMUNITION??  
  i guess a trip to the optic zones website is in order  
i couldnt belive it when he asked me that

DIVR,

That crosses being crazy and borders on being outrageous.  How can any reputable gun store have no idea of what Zeiss is.  Hmmmm, "reputable".....I think I just answered my own question. :)  :)

Did you finally order the Zeiss from the optic zone?

Exactly how is Zeiss pronounced? You would be suprised how some people mis-pronounce words and you dont know what they are talking about. Not saying this happened here. It just brought back a memory. :lol:

The Zeiss employees pronounce it "Zice". The guy at DIVR6347's gunshop might have thought guns or ammo because of the part about the 44's. :lol:

THOSE GUYS OVER AT MY LOCAL SHOP ARE PURE AND SIMPLE LEUPOLD FANS  IF I WOULD HAVE ASKED FOR A VX3 IN 4X12X40 OR A VX1 IN 3X9X40 I KNOW FOR A FACT THAT THE GUY WOULD HAVE SAID OH YEA WE HAVE THOSE IN STOCK    
ASK FOR SOMETHING THAT THEY DONT USE AND THEY ACT LIKE THEY DONT KNOW WHAT YOURE TALKING ABOUT  THIS IS WHY I BUY ALL MY RIFLES FROM ONLINE OR OUT OF STATE AND USE A PRIVATE DEALER
NOT THAT LEUPOLD IS A BAD SCOPE OR ANYTHING I KNOW A LOT OF GUYS LOVE THEM THEY HAVE JUST NEVER APPEALED TO ME FOR SOME
REASON OR ANOTHER
