MKIII Hunter

I'm interested in getting a MKIII Hunter. However, I've heard that there may be a problem with the loaded chamber indicator causing an unintended discharge if the weapon is dropped with the impact on the indicator and a round chambered. Does anyone have any information about this situation? Thanks!

There was a discussion over at the Ruger Forum a while back---but I don't remember the details as I'm not much interested in the MkIII's and will be picking up a new MkII as soon as funds allow. Just like I picked up a new std Mini-14 since they are discontinued too.

According to posts on the Ruger Forum, the problem has been fixed.  Looks like I'm in the market for a new pistol.  Thanks!

Yes, the initial design has been re-designed for one which wouldn't allow such an AD.   All MKII's shipping now have the newer style LCI.
