Hoyt- Thanks again for giving me the heads up on the Pedersoli 10 ga.
Ad you found on eders.com, I bought it and it's really nice and it had a bunch of extra's as well, now I won't have to worry about my ancient
Damascus twist barrels fragging everytime I shoot trap, the Pedersoli
is a real cannon, it also has the semi pistol grip stock Pedersoli puts on the Kodiak rifles.
As to the Wonder wad's I know they're very popular and lots of folks swear by them, but personally I'm not a Wonder lube or Bore butter fan
both are essentially just wax and lard and are expensive you can make dramatically superior BP lubes for a fraction of the cost here's an excellent one from 44man who realy knows his way around BPC lubes
"Seven oz. beeswax, one tablespoon beef lard (optional, but I like it better), three tablespoons lanolin and 1 tablespoon Lube-Gard. (get this from NAPA, it is automatic transmission assembly lube and is 100% seed oil based.) You can buy lanolin from Majestic Mountain Sage on the internet for $12 a pound "
When I first got my percussion shotgun I was camping at Friendship with
an older guy who builds flinter shotguns and been shooting them for decades he suggested getting circle fly fiber wads then soaking them in water and dishsoap over night then squeezing out the excess water in the morning and keeping them in a poly bag and it does work great and they are thick enough that you can split them.
