I Hope that this new S&W Forum is working out!!!!

Thanks for finally allowing a S&W forum...Politics aside They are my overall favorite handgun.

Love the guns. Hate the folks who own the company. They've had plenty of time to try to get the agreement done away with and have made no such efforts. If the current administration had refused to do away with it had they been asked then I'd be unhappy with them not the company. As it is I'm still unhappy with the company.

Just wait until the democraps once again are in office. That agreement is coming back to haunt a lot of folks not just S&W.

Read somewhere that the new owner is stuck with it an has no choice in the matter. Would like to hear if there are stories to the contrary. Have bought 3 in the last three months and love every one of them. Guess you can like someone and hate their parents, can't you????
Perception is everything. For instance, a crowded elevator smells different to a midget.

Only reason they are stuck with it is they've made absolutely no effort to have it done away with. It was an agreement between the company and HUD while Klinton was  prez. Now that there is a progun adminstration in office they've not even asked to be out from under it. So how can you say they are stuck? I'm of the opinion they are actually stupid enough to be hoping that next time the demos are in charge they will be able to use it to gain the advantages it promised them. That's not gonna happen as the things promised were illegal. That alone is reason enough to ask to have it annulled but they've not even asked.

I will keep buying Smith & Wessons. They are great guns.  :D

I understand G.B.'s thoughts on the issue...but I buy the older guns for another reason as well.

The old guns are a better value.  Combine the HUD aggreement and it is a win win.  To date I have only one gun with a Democrat lock (I call it an ugly zit).

I too only have one Smith with a zit.  They are my favorite revolver.  Politics aside, I like the history, looks, balance, and feel of them.  I do not think any other double action revolver, besides colt,  has the older vintage look to it, and colts are a little pricey for me to collect.  I realize that single action revolvers have a certain look, but I like the double action revolvers.  I am glad G.B. has started this forum.
