TC Handgun Scopes

I can't seem to find any reviews about TC Handgun Scopes or who makes them.

I cuerrently have Leupold 2.5x8 on a Competitor Single Shot (30-06) but want a lower starting power.  TC is the only one I find that makes a 1.25X4.

Any info is appreciated.

They are made by Tasco for TC

I believe dogshooter is correct even though TC denies it.  I bought a 1.25-4 a couple of year ago.  It looked just like a tasco with a hole drilled in the turret that was labeled nitrogen fill.  Never seen this on any other brand scope.  Asked T/C and they denied it but it looked like a Tasco to me, turret caps, everthing.  I sent it back and traded it for a Burris because I was not going to pay $225 for a $125 scope.

I do have a T/C 2-8, and it looks nothing like that 1.25-4 did.  They said they have different companies make their scopes but Tasco is not one them.  I doubt that to be true.

I don't think it could be or could have been made by Tasco. I do not believe Tasco was ever actually a manufacturer but was only a marketer of scopes and other optics. Now it is possible that the same folks made/make them as made the old Tascos. That I dunno.

TC will not say who makes them and so I'm not sure anyone outside the factory guys who know can say with certainty. How they "look" isn't much of a way of deciding it tho.

I have a number of them and I like them.  Never had a failure, even after some spills, nor had to use the warranty on any them.    I don't notice a change in point of aim at different magnifications.  Most of mine are the lighted rectule models which I prefer.
