Snap caps ?
« on: March 20, 2005, 05:11:22 PM »
Any body use these for dry fire practicing with their NEF/H&Rs? I've never used them before. I did a lot of dryfire practicing in the Army. I picked up a couple at walmart today.

I use snap caps when dry firing! They are not needed, as you know, to let the firing pin down on an unloaded gun for storage, as you would for a pump or autoloader.....

Better use them, rather than wind up like liv2shoot, who can't find a new firing pin for  his older Topper. :(

I'm not in need of a lot of dry firing practice but I have let the hammer fall a time or two in the 30 years or so I've been fooling around with H&Rs.I dry fired one the other day with a snap cap in there and it just didn't feel right.
