Tree Saddle?

Any one have any comments or have ever used a tree saddle? Kinda a new product. It's basically a like a climbing harness that you climb into a tree and hang in the tree or on the side of a tree.

Never used one but have seen them advertised on TV. Strikes me as a very poor idea. Would you really want to always be hung up there like that in basically a standing position but with nothing but the tree to put your feet on? How would you add or remove clothes if needed? What would you do if you needed to take a leak?

I'm sure some folks might like one but you couldn't pay me to use one.

I quit hunting out of trees several years ago.......seems most hunting accidents have something to do with trees, or the lack of......I.E...most accidents are because someone fell out of the tree!

I'm just looking for I.E. tree stand ground blind that's fairly light to take on long treks that wouldn't wear the body down so much. The saddle looked light so I thought I'd ask other's their opinion. I thought they would be a bit scetchy but was kinda taking a shot in the dark. I guess I'm gonna end up with a ground blind.though I've heard they work ok for turkeys deer I think might be a different story bit I'll give about anything a try once. thanks for the replys.

I have been spotted a lot more by turkeys than by deer while hunting on the ground without a blind of any type. I've had 3 deer walk past me at 15 yds while I was leaning against a tree no larger than my lower thigh and one walked in front of me at about 5 yds. while I was sitting at the base of a large oak tree. All these were while wearing an orange vest. If you use a good set up with a good background of foliage and not set up the blind somewhere that the deer are not use to seeing a big bush then the blind should work fine.

I have used the TS for two seasons now and absolutely love it.  I use a set of Rapid Rails to get up the tree.  For a standing platform, I took a strap on tree step and added three more steps to a single strap.

It's extremely comfortable, portable, quiet, and durable.  I have all but completely quit using my portable Gorrilla and Lone Wolf stands.
