Ok what does everyone use.....and Jax and Cutts none of that BP stuff I know how you two are    
I am currently using Tightgroup. 6.0 grs and a 250 gr bullet.

For rifle(Marlin CBII), 250 gr. bullet, 5.7 gr. TiteGroup. For Pistol (Ruger Bisley Vaquero), 200 gr. bullet, 5.7 gr. TiteGroup.

D B, I figured you'd be the one new guy around here that would jump right into BP???  I'm pretty sure you reload, pan lubing is simple, I know you aren't afraid of homemade stuff, so lube is easy to make, as well as economical.  Loading is pretty similar to what you're doing anyway. Clean up is easy. Everything is pretty much the same........till the hammer falls!   :-D  :-D  :-D  :-D  :-D

I have tried lots . Now I have setteled on a 200 gr home made bullet and 4.8 gr of Clays.  Clays Powder makes a Mild load,Low recoil Low noise and I use it in Rifle Pistol and Shotgun.
This works for me your milage might vary.

Howdy DB,

I like Hogdon Clays, too.  I use a 200gr bullet with 5gr of Clays.  I used Titegroup for about 2 years and it worked fine. I probably wouldn't have changed powder, but when I was moving they packed up my guns and we had 1 more match before I actually left. So, a Pard of mine let me borrow (actuall threatened me bodily, if I didn't show up :grin: ) his extra set and supplied the ammo.  After  shooting a couple of stages with his ammo it was apparent to me that to me there is less felt recoil and the report is not as sharp with the Clays as with the Titegroup. So I switched. Yout mileage may varry. :grin:

12ga:
STS & AA hulls, 7/8oz 7.5 shot over 15.5gr clays.  Sometimes need to use a thin paper disk on the wad - depending on the wad size.

Lotsa tightgroup users I see. I use 6.0 Bullseye with either a 190 or 200gr. pill fed. primers. (very accurate) 250gr. gets either 15.2 or 14.2 of 2400 depending on what I shoot it in.

I've been loading 5.5 grains of titegroup with a 250 grain mid-kansas bullitt, wlp primers and winchester brass, seem to shoot well in my RV and 1860 henry.

I run the same loads in my Rugers and Win. 73, a 200gr Hunters supply bullet and 5.7gr of Titegroup.

Hey H0 the fire!

Well, ya didna ban me from toot'n the Holy Black horn!  Soooooooooooo; I prime with CC-I 350 in Starline cases that have been "neck sized" only ( I know, I know -- ya can't neck size a neckless case -- but I do); place 2.2cc Holy Black ffg and top with 250gr .454" PRS ww alloy boollet lubed with 3gr PRS lube and moderate final crimp with Lee Carbide Factory Crimp.  Same for Marlin CB as with the Ruger Bisley's.  Shoots real well with no hard fouling, no blowback and EZ clean-up.

For my Heathern Son, No Hat Nat, I cast Lee 452-255-RF and tumble lube.  These are placed in same cases as above except primed with CC-I 300 and charged with 7.2gr Unique and same crimp as above.  He can shoot little itsy-bitty groups wtih his revolters and knock the eye out of a circleing buzzard with his Marlin.  He don't hardly ever clean his irons and seys they don't need it.  Smart allek kid!

I have seen the data as you load it.  5 gr and under.  I am not comfortable with that little powder laying in the bottom of the case.  I have Kapok and I plan to add it to the Unique loads and Universal Clays loads after I shoot them without filler.  I guess I want to know if you use fillers and if not do you settle the powder.  Talk to me .....  I have a pound of clays and not much to do with it.  I have just loaded up 5 sets of test loads, goex and 777, 30 grains also Unique, 8gr. Universal, 6.4 gr and 2400 18 gr. all under 245 gr. comercial cast RNFP.  I can load some clays,  Talk me into it.  JB

5.2 gr Bullseye under a 250 gr for the 24" Marlin lever action

Know the worries people have with all that room but, for me, this hasn't been a problem.
