32 Win. Special/Cast loads
« on: March 22, 2005, 03:10:22 AM »
Looking for some load information for the .32 Winchester Special.

I primarily plink and these would be used in a very light Martini Cadet that was converted to 32 Win Spec. and I would prefer something that won't kick the stuffing out of you like factory ammo. :(

I have found a source for .323 cast FP bullets just need some loading data for target loads (100 yds or less) and maybe a whitetail deer load.

Thanks in advance!

Except for the larger in diameter bullet the Win 32 special is a ballistic twin to the 30/30 any cast or jacketed load you find for the 30/30 will work for the 32 special. Jim
Said I never had much use for one, never said I didn't know how to use it.

With cast bullets I've had very good luck with standard starting loads for jacketed bullets in the .30-30.  You can back off a couple of grains, and still get good accuracy.  A plus is you don't have a lot of space and only a tiny bit of powder in these loads, so they aren't position-sensitive.
