I carry daily, live in Northern VA...sometimes will lower myself to packing my Glock 30 (mainly if I am heading to higher danger area's...malls and such)
But almost always throw my Super Blackhawk in my high ride PS6SA made by Mernickle holsters...I carry Corbon 44 specials in it...

who else carrys our beloved Single Actions...and which ones...

I have thought of getting a Sherifs Birds head Vaquero in 45 colt for a carry...

When I don't have to worry about concealment, I carry a 45 Colt.  When I do have to worry about concealment, I carry either a 357 mag S&W mocel 60 or a Kel-Tec P32.  I wear shorts and a t-shirt everywhere, even most of the winter, so the only single action that I ever carried on a daily basis was a NAA mini revolver in 22 mag.  It got replaced by the P32.

I always have my NAA 22 mag in my front pocket, and I carry my Colt Defender 45ACP.  :-D

When I carry concealed it's almost always a 696 S&W in 44 Spl.  Sometimes I carry my Springfield Armory 1911 but not often.  However, on weekends here at the house and on the place it's either my 3rd generation in 45 or an EMF in 32-20.

My 5.5" stainless 357 Blackhawk rides with me almost all the time. If it's not riding beside me, my 5.5" stainless Single Six is in it's place.

I live in SW Virginia. Around here it's not uncommon at all for a fellow to be carrying a single action in the truck.

I have a 4 5/8" single six and a 5.5" blackhawk 45LC on my permit.  I usually have them both within reach.  It's hard to beat the 22 mag with bird shot for snakes.  It takes care of a dozen or so each year.
The 45 is for anything bigger.  I spend a lot of time, ahorseback, in the mountains alone or with my wife and young son.  That 45 loaded with cor-bon ammo is good insurance against bears, cats or stupid people.
Horses and mules take me away from the mess of mankind and into the beautiful country.

Depends on what I'm doing and location.  During work, in town or where ever I need a highly concealed firearm I carry my NAA Black Widow in a front pocket.  When at home or out walking in the woods any time of year I carry my Bisley 5-shot 45 Colt.   My wife likes/claimed my SP101 so I've gotten used to just going with an SA...RW

I routinely carry a 1911 concealed.  When out in the woods, I often carry a Colt SAA in .357 Mag (often loaded with .38 Special wadcutters).

I use a SA revolver for hunting and carry it scoped in shoulder holster to chest holder type. For ccw I favor the 1911, locked and cocked, in the small of the back, or cross draw when you wear the jackets or sport coats.

My CCW gun used to be a PPK in .380. But more and more I found myself carying one of my Single Six 32H&R mags.  Now it depends on the weather and how I am dressed, but it's eather:

#1..... Colt Delta 10mm
#2.....Single Six 32mag
#3.....PPK .380
#4.....SAA .45lc

Between the 4 listed above the Single Six and the PPK get the most cary time.

I shoot the single actions the most due to shooting Cowboy Action Shooting, they feel the best in  my hand and my non thinking reactons work well with a Single Action revolver.  The PPK is dead simple to use, just point and pull the trigger, no safetys to work with, and the Delta is just thumb the hammer back and shoot. I never have beek comfortable with "Cocked and Locked". it's just habbit for me to thumb the hammer back on any gun I use. I even thumb the hammer back on the little PPK. Just habbit and one I never want to get out of.

Greeenriver(I even thumb the hammer on double action pistols, good habbit to have for me)

One of the few things I could get fired for immediately is being in possession (in hand or in the car) of a firearm on company property.   Even our security are not allowed to have a firearm.

When I am on a trip away from home, I have my S&W mod 19 or one of my short barrel blackhawks.  Had my semi-auto jamb a few times on a trip so quit carrying it.  If I can't pull it out and immediately empty it in rapid succession, It ain't gonna help much if I were in dire straits.

Have fun shooting and I hope to don't HAVE to do it.

I carry all the time.

Majority of the time it is my Ruger SP101 2.25" .357 Magnum for concealed duty.

My Ruger New Model Single Six Stainless 5.5" goes with me to the woods/field most of the time.  Game smaller than Coyote.

My Ruger New Model Blackhawk Blued (Convertable) 6.5" .357 Magnum/(9mm) will be my new companion for deer season and coyote hunting since parting with my Ruger GP100.  (9mm for cheap plinking).

Even when I'm out hunting with one of my rifles/shotguns I'll have one of my revolvers with me as DNR rules/regs allow.

I alternate between the Ruger 4 5/8"  45, or the Smith 4" 24. Open carry at the base of the mountain walking the dogs every day.

:-) I usta carry a mod.66 on duty and a mod 65 round butt of duty.  The last three years of work I carried a sig 228, H&K MP5 SD and sometimes a remington 870.  We had access to HK 91s and it' sniper version.  I couldn't wait to get away from that work.  Still, it was disappointing to turn in my badge and issue weapons.  I did feel undressed.  I miss the authority, but not much.  I never did like pushing people around.

As far as CCW, mostly I carry a Glock 22 40 cal., or a full size 1911 .45 acp.
