Replenishing Oils

I have a Beretta O/U with an oil finished stock.   The stock looks dull, and dry.   I have read on another site that they recommend bore butter for    oil finished stocks of Cooper Rifles.   I spoke to Beretta today, and the cust service rep said to use Lemon Oil.    Any recommendations on what to use, and if there is a special technique to apply the oil.    Thanks,   Curly

I use Old English Oil Lemon wood treatment. Apply with a clean, soft rag. Apply it with the grain, rub it out, and then polish with another cloth. I always mask off butt plate/recoil pad. Depending on how long it's been between treatments, you may want to wait a few hours and give your stock an additional treatment.

This is what I have used for several years.

I use the same materials I use when finishing a stock. A product called 'okenes' a type of damish oil finish or TruOil or Wax..  Usually the Okene's followed by waxing..   Ig it's really bad a coat or two of TruOil may be needed.
