MAD "the egg" call

Got a question for anyone that knows about MAD "the Egg" calls. I just bought one of these calls. The tone is kinda high pitched compared to my box call. It came with a little piece of sandpaper. I take that to mean it's tunable. Do I sand the slate, or the striker? Help!  :?

:) you can sand both, if you like, but do so very lightly. I have one of these callers when they first came out. They are very high pitched. I haven't had a tremendous amount of success with them, but that isn't saying that they don't work.   slik1
