More Bull On The Pledge of Allegiance
« on: February 12, 2003, 09:08:14 AM »
This may not be the forum for this but with all the bull in Congress about the Pledge of Allegiance and taking away the words "Under God" out, this came across my desk, sent to me by one of my old Marine Scout buddies.

"Pepsi has a new "patriotic" can coming out with pictures of the Empire State Bldg. and the Pledge of Allegiance on them. But Pepsi forgot two little words on the pledge, "Under God." Pepsi said they did not want to offend anyone. If this is true then we do not want to offend anyone at the Pepsi corporate office. If we do not buy any Pepsi product then they will not receive any of our money. Our money after all does have the  words "Under God" on it. Please pass this word to everyone you know."

Personally I'm waiting to see them in the stores and then I intend to bring it to the attention of the local newspaper and everyone else that will listen.  I prefer Pepsi over Coke but not if they can't stand up for the country that made it possible for them to be in business.  It does offend me.  Lawdog
