30 cal semi auto rifle US issue

Hi my friend has a 30 cal rifle he bought from a guy at a gun show....we took it out and shot it yesterday.....what it did with some cheep ammo was poke out the primers on the spent shell and chambered a new one with the spent still attached to the bolt.......what do you think the problem might be....This happened everyother shot or so...we are thinking firing pin return spring ?This is are first 30 cal...who knows how many years it has been since its been shot....I will get back to you guys with the manufacture on it....Thanks Dale

Guys its an iverson johnson enforcer is the manufacture....its not military surplus...we think it was made in the 70s or 80s...we would like anyone that could help with this problem to reply...Thanks Dale

Since its every other round or so it just maybe the cheap ammo your using I would try another brand of good ammo first before touching or changing anything.  You did lube the bolt carrier & bolt and inside the reciever with a gun grease right before you shot it?                                                        BigBill

Sounds like an extractor/ejector problem?
The claw is hanging on to the shell instead of kicking it out.
