They're referred to as Acusport Bisleys because they were only distributed through Acusport.  Ruger, along with other manufacturers, are contracted by the distributors to produce models in configurations not offered in the normal production line (cataloged models).  This series is just a pretty popular one and aquired the Acusport name pretty quickly.  they're awesome guns!  Got 5 of 'em. Just about perfect IMO.

I just ordered an Acusport Bisley yesterday.  Hopefully it should be in by Friday

I was able to locate one of last years models,  I didn't want or need the 45 acp cylinder that is coming with this year's model.

are they still available from accusport? And is there any difference between them and a regular ruger bisley?

As of yesturday Acusport had 88 of them in their "West Warehouse".  Not sure how many warehouses they have but the east warehouse was out.  That is for this years model with both the 45 Colt and 45 ACP cylinders.  This years model is running about $60 more then last years.

The difference between the Acusports and the regular catalog Bisley is Stainless not Blue, a 5 1/2" barrel vs. a 7 1/2", both have roll marked unfluted cylinders for 45 Colt, Acusports come with fluted 45 acp cylinder.
