Does anyone hear hunt with the .32WP ? this is one i have never owned but always wanted to, a winchester 94 lever in .32 win.spl. When i get some extra cash i would like to take a trip up north and maybe find a used one in an Adirondack gun shop. When i was 15 i was tring to decide on this or a marlin .35 rem for my first deer rifle but i was so impressed with my friends dads 1903A3 in 30/06  i went out and bought a remington 700BDL in 30/06.

I have an older M94(curved metal butt plate, 24" octagon barrel and buckhorn sights) that was given to me when I was 17 by a neighbors wife after her husband died.  I take it out hunting every so often just to help me remember the old man that used to take me hunting with him before he got to sick to go anymore.  Go to http://www.gunbroker.com/ and do a search of Modern Firearms/ Rifles/Lever Action see all the ones they have on auction there.  Lawdog

tanoose - I don't know where you are in NYS but I do know that in the Capital District there are a couple of gunshops that regularly carry some used 94s in 32 spl, and the prices are not all that bad.  If the distance isn't too far you may want to try and find some of their numbers in the yellow pages or go through 'information' and make a few calls to see if anyone has whatcha want before you start putting on the miles.  

I have spoken with a couple of fellers who hunt with the 32 Spl and they like it as much as they like their 30-30s.  HTH.  Mikey

My first deer rifle was my grandpa's 32 WSP when I was 10.  It's still my "go to" gun when I hunt heavy brush.

One bit of advice.... you have to be EXTRA careful if someone is using a 30-30 around your 32.  The shells look almost identical. A 30-30 through the 32 will have horrible accuracy, but a 32 through the 30-30 could be disastrous!

My Dad uses his 32W.S for all of his deer hunting and loves it!!!
It is a pre 64 model and Beautiful!!!

It  actually has a slight edge on the 30-30 according to Federal's ballistics chart!!

Thanks for the replys guys , i just added a pre 64  94 .30/30 to the cabinet so i think this fall i'll start looking for that .32 special. And thanks Mickey I'll keep the capital dist , in mind  as i have been wanting to get down that way to visit the NRA museum i think thats down there isn't it?
