that I'm NOT selling is this beautiful 30-06 UltraComp (thanks to Mac!! ) topped with a Leupold VX-1 2-7x33 scope in medium Burris sig zee rings......I just might make it to the range tomorrow with a little luck and a break in the weather and home duties....sheesh!! I'd love to test those 200gr Nosler partition loads that I have made up upon Mac's recommendations(thanks again Mac!!).....

Thanks!! That's the stock that came on it as issued by H&R, the camo laminated is still available from H&R, checkered or plain, about $90 shipped. I have the part numbers if you're interested in ordering the set.

Glad you like it Quick.. it was very difficult to part with it again...and I'm sure glad I'm getting another one like it all fitted up with the newer green camo stocks and steel trigger gaurd....I think you'll enjoy it as much as I did and I'm sure you'll enjoy  shooting it with those 200 grain Partitions I sent ya...I think you can see why I wanted another set up like it now...

Mr.Frosty...those are the checkerd camo laminates that came with it straight from NEF...which by the way they do have a limited number of that color in stock right now...The  checkerd Green Camo  stock # is R 02564($66.90)...and the matching forearm # is S 02413...($31.89).they do have uncheckerd ones available for less...

Yes, that's what the Comp part of UltraComp means...a compensated barrel..... They also made them in .270 Win....If you look down the page, you'll see a post by Mac letting everyone know they have some of the 30-06 barrels available right now, I ordered another just because they will never be offered again.

I thought about having a gun smith port a Handi or two. Wonder what it would cost?

I would cost more than getting a factory compensated barrel from H&R that's for sure!!! I also ordered one of the Ultra Comp 30-06's that Mac talked about H&R having in stock (thanks Mac!!!). I would suggest you run, do not walk, to the nearest phone on Monday morning and see if they have one left. I think they may be all gone by now but YOU NEVER KNOW!! Go to the phone early (0900, EST) and make the call....<><....

Depending on which load...but yes...My 200 grain Nosler Partition load is actually quite pleasent to shoot...itclocks around 2600fps...and the factory 165 gr CT Winchester Supreme load feels very light...and it has about 50% less muzzel climb as well...
