I received my South-Bend catalog today. The large thunder mug has caught my attention. Has anyone seen it fired?

Not having a South Bend catalog at my finger tips, I can think of two defintions of thunder mug - one a small mortar with a cast-in-place handle on the side and a flat base; the other being the pot kept under the bed to be emptied in the morning. The name is appropriate for both.

Were any (thinking of building a replica of the first definition thunder mug) made that were not cast, but had attached handles?

I thought the pot under the bed was a honey bucket. How it got that name i dont know. Iv seen some thunder mugs made without a handle but i didnt care for that look. Didnt look too much like a mug to me. Id like to see a pick of the south bend one. They seem to have very high quality stuff. I wish there website was alot more detailed than it is.
