Refinishing an Old Compound?
« on: April 02, 2005, 02:49:49 PM »
I was given a Browning Badger. I have no idea how old it is, but it needs re-painted badly. I am using it for bow fishing. Anyone ever sand down and re-paint a bow? It is now wood it is metal.

Refinishing an Old Compound?

I took it completely apart and used my bench grinder with a bronze brush to remove the flaking old paint. When that was all done I painted it primer black, then finished off with an Anti-Glare Olive drab. It looks a hell of a lot better now. The only thing is I can't seem to get the cams back on right so I am off to the Sportsmans Warehouse bow shop to have them figure it out. I also need to get the nocking point fixed. After that is all done I am off to do some Bow Fishing!
