any of my g.b.o. brothers (or sisters) need...
« on: April 03, 2005, 02:29:15 PM »
i got rid of my casull. i have 28 300 gr xtp mags left over.   the first one with more than 25 posts who wants them, and is willing to met the following request gets them.

the only thing i ask is that you return the favor.   find something you have in your reloading room that you dont need anymore, post it up here at g.b.o., under the same conditions.

hopefully we can find a happy home for some of our un-needed items; and clean up our benches, too.

i also ask that people honor the agreement and dont use it for resale.   it is funny, all the scumbags out there using the internet for bad  things, and yet all the deals i have made have been with very good folks- i havent been burned once.   it has restored my faith about the good in people.

 so who is game?

i should clarify, it doesnt have to be a reloading item.  as long as it is something related to a topic covered here at g.b.o. , it is fine with me.   an example was i saw a kid was looking for a bowfishing reel a while back.  anything you have laying around you dont use that someone else could.

Sounds like a good thing to me.
I got some 300gr xtp and sabots I use in my muzzleloader.  I have
somethings I could do without.

pm sent.
This is a good gesture and this is a way to get the younger
generation involved into hunting and shooting.
Without shooting each other of course.

Excellent gesture. That's what being friends is suppose to be like. Don't have one in this caliber myself but, hope one of the members here on GB does and can use this?

my ultimate hope is that sooner or later some of the stuff getting "repositioned" will fall into the hands of some of the younger members and enable avenues for them to pursue their interests.  i know when i was younger coming by stuff i was interested in wasnt easy, money was tight (nonexistant).

and,  i dont like keeping stuff around i aint going to use.  i was raised by someone who was a packrat and it drives me nuts.  i figure let someone get some use out of it.

i got your address and will send it out tommorrow.  later!

I really can't tell you how much I love to see this sort of thing, I have seen this on a couple of firearms boards and it is very refreshing. Thanks.
It is also an excellent idea for those of us who have not already thought of it. Hopefully in the future I will have something to offer, with the exception it will likely be on a canadian board if it directly relates to firearms.
It is still nice to see firearms owners helping one another out though. :D

  later!

I know the feelings of not having what's needed to pursue ones interests. I started reloading with two small children to provide for, hard times. Then went on to have six all together before realizing what was causing this. I know I've got some things down in the shop that someone could use, let me dig around. Where do you think this stuff should be posted, here or start a new thread?

Thanks myronman3 and they should work just fine the xtps I use for the sabots are .452. I have a couple of nephews that have a fond interest
in hunting and shooting and are looking to me for guidance and letting
them gain some knowledge. Plus the rush you get whether it be punching paper or slamming milk jugs of ice and the simple solitude of sitting in the woods on opening morning of small or big game season.
And the feeling of passing something down the same way I learned.

I was down in the shop today and noticed a small box with some Dillon press parts in it. I'll get down there again in a day or so, and make an inventory and post them for anyone who can use them.
