This model has an external adjustable model 40-X target trigger according to Remington catalog. I was looking at this and the model 700 VLS. Is it worth the extra 100.00 to get the better trigger or can the regular 700 trigger be adjusted to a suitable poundage? 2 to 2 1/2 lbs

The 700 trigger cleans up and adjusts into a very fine trigger.  2.5 lbs is very do-able.
