PJ

Check for a PM.

AFAIK Chris doesn't have a website but I'll send you his email.

If anyone makes a better vest, I haven't seen it.

Assuming that you mean the P70 Field Target, no one attending my matches uses one and I don't remember seeing one at the Texas state matches. Feinwerkbau certainly makes great rifles but here the Walther, Anschutz and Steyr are the preferred choices...in that order.

FWB P70s for silhouette
« Reply #4 on: April 09, 2005, 03:20:57 PM »
PJ Smythe asked about P70s. I own two P70jrs. They work great for silhouette once you sort out the scope mount. You need:

a. A shortened loading port door. The standard door will hit the bottom of the scope when it flips open. You can buy one from www.airgunsofarizona.com or modify yours with a saw. The part is aluminum.

b. Either a high cantilever mount (BKL makes them) or one set of double rings. There's no scope rail forward of the loading port, so all scope support has to come from the rail behind the port. You need to put the mount as far forward as possible to get eye relief. A BKL 254 on a riser works well. You might need a drooped riser to get enough upward scope adjustment from chickens to rams. BKL makes those, too.

I think all the top air rifles shoot comparably and have comparable triggers. They do fit differently, however, and I like the fit of the FWBs.

Glad to provide details.
