It is a good gun and a good choice. I have that model and caliber rifle. But, for myself I think that it was a mistake. I had wanted to use it in the Adirondacks , but I don't I will get to go hunting there. So it has just been collecting dust . I would really like to see that Model 7600 in the .223 Remington caliber with a Walnut stock and a 22 or 24 inch barrel.  Anyone know if that would be possible?

Thanks

They made the .223 in the 760 model. It was a low production item and you see one pop up on the on-line auctions from time to time. They can go for pretty good coin though. Last on I saw for sale, they wanted $900.
It is NOT unethical to shoot at running deer. That's hunting!!

270hunter,

I have a 760 (model preceding the 7600) in 30-06 and it's my favorite deer rifle.  I bought it off my Dad a few years ago and then got him a 7600 in 7MM-08.  As you can tell, we're Remmy pump fans.  Both of these guns are accurate and a joy to carry and hunt with.   I personally think that they're rifles that have to be hunted with to fully appreciate.
