I have an old H&R 929 .22 pistol that is in great shape. Only thing is...it will not fire on each pull of the trigger. When I first purchased it (used), it onlly fired about 4 or 5 of 9 shots. So I opened her up and found that the plastic-headed mechanism with the hammer spring on it was broken (plastic head was broken). I replaced the mechanism and spring with a brand new one just yesterday. The pistol goes off better than it did, but I still get a few misfired each cylinder. I know that everything is installed correctly, and I know that these old pistols have a habit of wearing out springs, but I would really like better results than what I am currently getting. Any help would be appreciated.
