In 260. Have a tang safety 22-250 that has always shot better than MOA. Anyone have a newer model in 260....wondering how accurate they are now.......Thanks, poncaguy

Have an older tang saftey 270 - has always shot 5 cent piece groups at 100 with factory loads - never reloaded for it. In the newer models have a 17hmr, 6mm, and 308. 17 is a tack driver, have 95gr. BT loaded for 6mm, turns dime size groups at 100.  308 shooting factory loads holds about 3/4 inch at 100. Hope this helps. DM

poncaguy- which model 77 are you getting.  I am waiting for a 270wsm, it's coming in the laminate with stainless. this model was not listed on the ruger web or in catalog. found it as a special run in the 2005 henry shot show catalog. All my 77's (17, 270, 6mm,and 308) are all walnut and blued. wanted something differant. Started to go with the all weather until Ifound the special run rifle.

If my 260 shoots well, will get a 7mm-08 next, even  though I have an Encore barrel in that caliber.........
