sig .40 questions
« on: February 13, 2003, 03:20:17 AM »
i have read with real interest all the post that i can on these forums and you folks have just about convienced me that a .40 in a sig is a good addition to concealed carry. there are several questions i have which openion from yall would be appreciated.
what model is the most convient, ie weight wise and concealability, and what ammo would you reccommend?
i understand that these answers have been addressed in a scattered form throughout all of the forums-but i am old and it would be appreciated if i could get these in one place so as to better make a decision.

I'm with Deputy!  I have a P239 in .357 Sig.  Great gun.  Really easy to conceal.  I carry mine in one of two High Noon Holsters.

Those prices are a bit high, particularly if it's a blued finish.  I paid a little less than six (including tax) for my P239 in two-tone.  I certainly wouldn't pay $530 for the used one.

If you're willing to deal with ordering one, www.sportingarms.com has the best prices out there.  Tell them Brian Batey sent you.

Best of luck![/url]

went to the pasadena gun show yesterday---bad move---a table had a sig 239 in a .40 with two set of grips, a molded in pants holster, box and all--wear was normal as far as my limited knowledge/eye could tell--550.00
took it to a smith friend an he said i did aok--hope so--hope so--but then i keep the economy afloat by buying hi and selling low.
