2nd Smallbore Silhouette match of the season this Sunday April 13, 2005 at the Factoryville Sportsmen's Club.  Last month we had to paint the animals balck to contrast against the snow. Maybe this month we can paint them white.
Range open at 8 AM for practice match starts at 9 AM sharp. 80 round match shot in two 40 round relays.
Directions: Off Rt. # 6 Approx. 2 miles west of intersection of Rt #6& 11. Take Lithia Valley Rd. to Lake Winola Rd. Follow club signs from Rt #6 well marked.

Umm.. why not paint them bright orange or something so that they'll stand out against the snow but you can still see your crosshairs and dot on them? :)

There used to be a club around here that used blaze orange or bright pink targets. Its the worst of colors you could use. They glare in the scope something terrible. The flourescent colors are not the way to go. They might look ok to the naked eye but they suck with a scope.

I don't mean flourescent orange or any other flourescent color. I mean bright orange, but not that bright. The swinging silhouette targets in my airgun trap don't glare and show up well against the black of my crosshairs and dot. Any color other than black or white would do fine. I'd sure hate to try to shoot at black targets.
