Is this normal for a crossman 160?

i have a crossman 160, and (with a scope, of course) it keeps half inch groups at 100 yards... is this normal? :eek:

By the way, it's the old bolt action that holds 2 CO2 cylinders under the barrel, and is .22 .

You have a VERY RARE air rifle that can shoot like that.  Keep it, use it.  Lawdog

I'd shoot it more often if it was a little better at loading the CO2 canisters, it is kind of like this... put 2 CO2 cylinders in the tube + try and set the cap over the threading and the little spike on the cap hits the canister before it even comes in contact with the threading. this leads to the Canister starting to "Release" CO2 before the cap is on.... any reason why/how to fix?

Your 160 should not release gas before the cap is threaded on.  Here's the loading technique:

After removing the tube cap, cock gun by pulling up and back on the bolt knob, engage safety, insert two (2) 12 gram CO2 cartridges BACK TO BACK and tighten the tube cap completely. Then back the tube cap off 1/4 turn. This will release the C02 from the cartridge adjacent to the tube cap. The other cartridge will be pierced when the rifle is fired.

Back to back means the first cartridge goes in bottleneck first, second goes in bottleneck last.  Like this:   = )( =

It will be shot more often now, after i get a good scope.it seems to like scopes compaired to other pellet guns i have... even though i may just get a 9 dollar 4X20. just something that'll work.
