Cooper LVT for silhouette?
« on: April 06, 2005, 06:01:54 AM »
I am curious whether anyone uses a Cooper LVT .22LR for rimfire silhouette, and if so, in what class does it usually come under?  Thanks.

I've seen Coopers at the matches but I don't know what class they are in.

But can I go out on a limb here?
You already have the Cooper and you're interested in trying silhouette.
By all means, BRING the Cooper and SHOOT it.  They'll tell you what class you'll be in and you won't regret it.

By the way, I'm considering a Cooper for my next high power rifle.  I have one but it's a groundhog caliber.  Absolutely love the Cooper.
Be vewy, vewy quiet.

Thanks for the rule book, as well as the advice, Feez.   Actually, I don't currently own a cooper, but am close to purchasing a 57M in .22LR.  Although I have had some difficulty in deciding whether to get the Classic or LVT.

I would like to use it for both target and silhouette matches, and am leaning towards the Classic because it is more suited to offhand shooting, while the LVT is better on the bench.  From what I hear and read, though, most Cooper owners, like you, wind up owning more than one.  So perhaps I'll ultimately get both.

tr17,
if you speak to those that owned a Cooper Model 36 most if not all will tell you they are sorry they ever owned a Cooper and never will again.  Quality and customer service were horrible.  perhaps they have straightened out their challenges.
