seson opens up saturday and i have 2 slate calls and one box call that i can use fairly well i have located a flock of turkes but dont now where they rost. im usin a mosberg 500 not camo. i will be the only one usin the calls couse my dad dosent now how and im also the shoter. will it still work?? any hints will be greatly aprecated

Sure it will work. One thing you might want to consider is picking up a crow or owl cowl to help in locating the gobblers. They are anywhere from $5 on up and will help you locate the flocks fairly quickly when used in early morning/late afternoon.

Read the other advice in the turkey hunting section too.  Mostly, just get out there.  Don't worry about your gun, your calls, your camo pattern (although you need a facemask), or anything else.  Just hunt, you'll learn by doing it more than by talking about it.  

If your turkeys are in roughly the same pattern as the ones here in KS they'll be breaking up for the next few days/week.  Until they're done breaking up you won't be able to reliably pattern them, although there will be a tom somewhere nearby if you're seeing lots of jakes/hens.  Get to your area early in the morning while it's still black outside.  Get where you can hear well and just listen.  You'll learn where they are roosted.
