Unfired handguns?
« on: April 09, 2005, 12:32:32 PM »
I was reading around the forums just tooling around and I read a few posts were people talked about guns that they had for years and they still had not fired them.

So, I was wondering how many of us had guns that were still unfired. Because see me on the other hand Im like a kid in a candy store when I get a new gun. I shot it if not that day with in a week on owning it.

Dont know maybe its because Im still young, but I cant help it.

PS. I shoot the damn .500 S&W today at the saturday member shot at the range. Mother %$##@#%, that was intense. My friend Dan let me put about 5 or 6 rounds though it. It was SS 4" inch ported bll. . Loudest thing I ever heard out side the .50 BMG. Kinda makes me want one, but, I dont know. Might be more horsepower then I need. Uuuummm, well, maybe not.

I have a few unfired handguns but only because I recently moved to another state and most of my ammo and reloading equipment is still boxed up. My storage was delievered just last week so it wont be much longer...

Take Care,

Up until yeaterday, I had 9 I haven't fired.  Today, that's down to 5.  Of course, 4 of those 5 I have no intention of firing.  Bought 'em as safe queens and they'll stay that way.

I have a few that I haven't fired yet including a T/C Contender Stainless Carbine still in the box. I might not ever fire that one.

I have a whole bunch of unfired handguns.  Lugers, P-38s, various Walther PP and PPK ' s.  I also have a mint, never fired, still in cosmoline baby browning made in the 1950's.  I buy guns that I like and have quite a few that I shoot alot and a quite a few that I just want to own.

Wierd.  My wife would rather I buy guns than custom knives (another passion of mine).  So...who am I to disagree!!!!

Good shooting!

Doug
