I bought a set of RCBS used dies,3 dies. The box is marked.38 SWC.Part NO.18306. My question is can I also use these to load 357mags.

Yes.
You just have to back them out for the 357's. The sizer stays the same, just the expander and seating/crimping die need adjustment. I think Redding makes a washer to simply slip under the die to adjust for the difference. RCBS may also. The included instruction sheet should explain this...

I have a question........does the marking on the box mean .38 semi-wadcutter, or .38 Smith & Wesson cartridge? Just curious, jd45

SWC would be for semi wad cutter. This usually means that you only get one bullet seating punch that is flat. Some include a round nose and a swc bullet seating punch.

If the bullet seating punch is not correct for the bullet you wish to use....call RCBS they will give you whatever one you want.
