going to be slacking off a bit
« on: April 10, 2005, 08:33:13 AM »
well guys i'm going to be cutting back on my posting during week days. i work for a small general construction contractor and lately we have had a really hard time finding work around here we don't usually work during the winter here (the idea is to make enough money in the spring summer and fall that we can hunt all winter) we have probably wrote about 100 quotes this year for people but everybody is wanting to wait until summer. so me my boss and his son (who also owns his own construction compony) are going to take a ,well paying, job in kentucky starting the 18th. i'm not sure where it is i just know its about an hour from lexington ,about 6 hours from here, so i'll be staying down there during the week and coming back on late friday nights and leaving on sunday nighs . so i wont be able to shoot and post much for the next 6-8 weeks but i will have enough money now to pay for the P-dog hunt  .

ok now for the good news we are going to be building in the middle of a 800 acre farm with a 12 acre lake filled with lunker trout and bass. the owner also said to bring some guns to play around with in the evening. this is going to be one fun job. oh and did i say its pays good (i'm getting a $5 an  hour raise for this job, me happy)

And I'll need better directions too.

hahaha thanks guys. stiff neck i'll go out first and catch all the big ones just to make sure the lake has them before you come up, with the price of gas i wouldn't want you to waist a trip for just a 5 # bass.   . just looking out for your best interest.

Have a great time in Kentucky. There is a lot of beautiful country in the area you are going this summer. Making big bucks, fishing, and shooting sounds like a good 'ole time to me.

Be safe and enjoy ... look forward to hearing from you when can get back to your computer each weekend.

I live in the Salt Lake City area, and construction hasn't slowed a bit this winter. Rain has put a damper on things a bit, but homes are still going up, and it hasn't been too cold or snowy enough to bring things to a halt. It's a boon the this industry, and thos who work in that field should be grateful. Don't you just hate it when work interferes with your hunting? :-D
Ohhhh, I hate when that happens
