This may sound stupid as I have never participated in one of these postal shoots ... can we place a target sticker on the card to have something to aim at or draw an X?

Sounds like fun ...

you can do what you like to the card but what most do is draw a X from corner to corner(ie draw a line from the top right to the bottom left and a line from the top left to the bottom right giving you a X in the middle)

With mitchell scoring them it seems kinda rigged. I don't know if I can trust him. J/K :)  I'll have to start saving my cards. I have this strange feeling that there are going to be some tight groupings. Not nessecarily by me

thats it i take back all the good things i sad about him.J/K to put your fears aside i'm only shooting my 22 hornet (groups in the .4's) my ultra 12ga(i'm not telling for fear that jeff will not send in a card until he wins, he's like that you know) and just maybe my new 22 mag. so i would worry about me wining. but for a small fee i can make sure that you win!!

Another category to add is team scores.

Teams are by State.  My state can beat your state kind of thing.  Bragging rights until the next match.

Mitchell, watch out for cards with "Powder Burns"....

I made this up to print on 3x5 cards in my printer.

Front

Back

Center Circle is 1/2 inch.  Outer circle is 2.5 inches.

If anyone would like them, PM me and I will email them.
If you don't have a printer, I will print some extras and snail-mail to you.

Is this a one-time attempt contest on your honor?  Or can you shoot 20 groups and mail in the best one?

GrampaMike, What good will the information for the back of the card be if there are 5 shots through it?      I think that if your printed information doesn't have some holes in it, you might not want to bother sending it in.

shoot as many groups you want and send in the best.

Mitch i guess we could just leave the 17 mach II at 50 like all the other rimfires. i think the only reason the 17 was moved to 100 is because we had so many one whole groups last time. its really up to you guys so long as every body is shooting at the same distance but my vote would be for 50 yards.

I'm approaching side-of-barn. Will keep the pressure on and send in the best.

They may cover the 3X5  :)
