Anyone reload 45 colt with 300 grain cast bullets? what primer do you use. Looking for primer data for 300 grain cast with H110.

I've always used Winchester Large Pistol primers in the 45 Colt, wether it's a 270gr @ 800 fps or a 325gr@ 1,300 fps.  I haven't had any problems using H110, WLP primers and 310gr LFN bullets from Leadhead's.

In a Ruger 21.5gr of H110 under a 310gr LFN is a good starting point, that load does right around 1,050 fps from my 7.5" Blackhawk.

Yep, always use the Win "std and mag", or other magnum primer with H110. Especially in cold weather.
