10x scopes and adjustable objectives
« on: April 12, 2005, 05:55:50 AM »
i've narrowed my scope choice down to 2 nikons, the 3.3-10,44mm and the 3.5-10, 50mm. the 44mm has the AO and the 50mm does not. why? which one would you get?

Neither, I would get a Leuplod.  :-D  :D

What are you putting it on? I would have to know what gun you intended to use, before I could decide on a scope.  :-)

If you are planning on any close shooting at all. Go with the AO - the 50mm may be brighter - but brightness does no good at all if the picture is blurry.......... ...............

or you could buy the Leupold   but with what you pay for it - you could probably purchase both of the Nikon's -  :D

i would go with the 44mm Nikon if it were me.i dont think a person need a 50mm bell.i feel the Nikon scopes have a much clearer lens compaired to Leupold scopes.nothing wrong with a Leupold but i feel they are over priced.i had a 3-9 vari x II and a 4x Leupold pistol scope and i sold both of them.i made a few bucks on them but i bought them right.the 3-9 vari x II was a good scope but the 4x pistol scope was a joke.Leupold needs to rework their pistol scope lineup.Burris puts them to shame on that lineup.

Nikons are very hard to beat
