Has anyone compared 209-4 vs 25acp accuracy? I would like to try the 25acp conversion, but was wondering if it is worth the money? It is much cheaper to shoot the 209-4.

I used 209-4 in my encore after I got it. The groups were acceptable for hunting 2 to 3 inch at 75 yards. I bought the 25 acp conversion and they all rag one hole at the same distiance. In my opinion for accuracy it is better. I shoot 90 grains of ffg triple 7 and a 250 grain sst bullet with a harvester sabot.

I think it is worth the money. I get great groups from my Encore.

my sidekick groups better with the 25ACP plug,my gun
stays much cleaner,and the small rifle primers are half
the price of shotgun primers.Definitely a win-win
situation for me.I won't buy an in -line that doesn't have
this available anymore.Combine this upgrade with going
to BM3 and my gun stays cleeeaaan and shoots
excellent groups,and plug comes out as easily as it went
in after 50 shots(also no blowback as I had with the
shotgun primers) :grin:

for myself, I use the encore during the deer season up here in canada. I wasn't able to make a follow-up shot on a buck because I couldn't get my frozen fingers around the 209 primer. With the 25acp, it's no problem to flick it out, and get another primed case in there quick.
