No, they need to be ground down, Sims doesn't make one that is prefit to any of the handi stocks that I've checked, all the prefits are too big or too small. The small grind-to-fit has to be ground down some, it's as close as they get. If you go to the sims web site, they have templates of all their pads, none fit.....

You can get the small, mediam, or large grind-to-fit Sims Limbsaver pads for $20.00 anytime from Gunstocks Inc.
The pre-fit pads from Sims have to be fit also.

Quick,
I took the butt plate off my 12ga and traced it  and matched it up to a template from the website.  Looked good to me.  Can't remember the ser. # but I know I have it somewhere.  Ill see if I can find it later and send you a pm.  Maybe you can check it too.

They list one for an SB2 988 slug gun, but it doesn't fit any of my stocks....and I have several, but only one pardner shotgun. Keep in mind that their templates must be printed out at the correct % or they won't be actual size. Also, on the wood stocks you have the option of changing the location of the holes in the stock....no so with the synthetic stocks...

Thanks Quick,

I'm fitting a semi-inletted stock to my old Swede. Was just thinking about the buttplate on the way home from woik. Would diamondplate work?

You'll find that the 10102 is close to one of the wood stocks, but the hole spacing is off and it's a little shorter but fatter so the fit won't be great, unacceptable to me, anyway. I'd rather just use the grind to fit and make it look right. It's real close to the synthetic stock size, but the hole spacing isn't even close and you have no choice of drilling new holes on it. There are at least 3, maybe 4 different size butts on the handi rifles, so I wouldn't order one until you see what you have. There's solid wood old style, the laminated wood, laminated resin and the synthetics...then you have shotgun stocks that ust have a butt plate and no recoil pad like the pardner!

For anyone with a Sportsman Warehouse handy their everyday price on the Limbsaver is $24.95, and no postage.
