I thought I had the vert. stringing problems fixed by floating the forend and allowing only the screw lugs to touch the barrel of my encore. Now I'm starting to get it again!

Any ideas on how to fix the problem?

How did you float the barrel? If you use rubber washers on the screws they eventually flatten out, distort, and allow contact with the forend and barrel again. I switched over to stainless washers and no longer had the problem of stringing.

Is your scope slipping thru the rings? Handloaded ammo or store bought ?

Shot some more loads, what I thought was stringing problems, wasn't! Just a really bad handload. My good loads shot well....just had to make some more.

After several years of handloading, it still amazes me how different (and bad) some trials shoot.
