Got my first tom of the year, 21lb merriams, little over 1" spurs, 9ΒΌ" beard, took 30 heart pounding, nerve racking minutes for him to come in after his first gobble....what a rush!!!

Man those merriams are pretty turkeys....Way to go :-D

Also, I owe you a big THANK YOU.....I had been trying to post pictures here for a long time, and could not figure it out till i read your post helping someone here....followed your instructions and got it done.

Seriously, nice bird. You can get two spring birds? That's awesome. We can only get one out here in PA, and we can only hunt till noon :? . Good luck on that second bird.  :D

Man what a pretty bird.  Congrats sir.  I got to get out and hunt some of the other species.  Those merriams are almost as purty as an eastern bird :wink: :lol:

Thanks!!!  Actually we can get 3 spring birds...only 2 can be Merriams, the other can be a Rio or an Eastern, we have all three here in Washington...if I can ever get an Eastern, I'd get my Washington Slam, but they are hard to come by. :cry:

Nice Bird!!  I hope to get a chance to fill my last tag Saturday. The weather isn't looking very good. Cooling down and rain likely.
