The only problem with the percussion sharps is that it is neither fish nor fowl.
You can't use it in muzzleloading events (hunting or target), because it is a breach loader, and you would be at a serious disadvantage in any timed event vs a cartridge rifle.
If you have a use for it that falls within its narrow niche, that's great. The one that I had became a wall decoration until I found someone who wanted it more than I. I have no idea what he planned to do with it.
